"Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us"
Romans 5:3-5
Meet the Founder
Jestina Campbell
JesCares was birthed out of my own journey through hardship. Years ago, my family and I fell on hard times. We were working, doing everything we thought we were supposed to do—but ends still didn’t meet. A lot of people assume that if you’re married or have a spouse, you won’t struggle. But that’s not true.
At the time, we had a small child, the cost of living was rising, and our paychecks just weren’t enough. I know what it feels like to go without. I know the weight of asking for help when your pride tells you not to. I know how the “small” things—a bus fare, a meal, a warm coat—become the very things you can’t live without when you’re in need.
I know what it’s like to walk everywhere because our car broke down, to juggle bills, to stretch food, to feel like no matter how hard you try, life keeps coming up short. That’s why I can resonate so deeply with people who are struggling—I’ve been there. I know the highs and the crushing lows of life.
But here’s the truth: troubles don’t last always. God brought us out. It was nobody but Jesus who carried us through those four years of struggle. And now, He has blessed me with the opportunity to extend a helping hand to others—to stand in the gap for a brother or sister in Christ, or for any family who finds themselves in need.
JesCares is more than an organization. It’s my testimony. It’s proof that God can take the broken pieces of your story and use them to restore hope in someone else’s life.

Why we do this?
For our founder, JesCares is not just an organization—it’s a reflection of her life’s journey. What began as private battles with lack, uncertainty, and the humbling weight of needing help has now become a public mission to serve others walking through the same valleys.
She knows what it feels like to work hard, to keep showing up, and yet still feel like the ground is slipping beneath you. She knows the quiet ache of needing support when pride wants you to hide. And she knows the relief of someone showing up with compassion when you least expect it.
JesCares was birthed out of that very place—a collision of pain and purpose. What was once a season of brokenness has become a testimony of resilience and redemption. Every meal given, every hand extended, every word of encouragement shared is rooted in the same truth she lives by: God can use your hardest seasons to birth hope in someone else’s life.
Today, JesCares exists to be that hope, that encouragement, and that reminder that no one walks alone.

Our vision is simple yet bold: to be a beacon of hope for people who feel forgotten. JesCares longs to see a world where families have stability, individuals find dignity, and communities are strengthened by compassion. We believe that when faith and action come together, lives are changed, hope is restored, and God’s love is made visible.
Our Values
Everything we do flows from what we believe. JesCares is guided by these core values:
-
Compassion First – We meet people where they are, without judgment, and with genuine care.
-
Dignity for All – Every person deserves to be seen, valued, and treated with respect.
-
Faith in Action – Our service is an expression of our faith in Jesus, who modeled love through action.
-
Hope Restored – We don’t just offer help—we point people toward lasting hope for tomorrow.
-
Community Matters – We believe no one should struggle alone. We serve to build connection and support.
Faith at the Core
JesCares is rooted in faith. We believe Jesus showed us the way to live—with open hands, open hearts, and love that sees people beyond their circumstances. That’s the example we follow: to step into the places where people are hurting, to sit with them in their need, and to remind them that they are not forgotten.
For us, faith isn’t a side note—it’s the heartbeat. JesCares exists because God has proven that even in the darkest seasons, He is still writing stories of redemption. What once looked like brokenness in our own lives has become the very reason we now serve others.
Every act of care, every meal, every word of encouragement is more than a gesture—it’s a reflection of God’s love, a living testimony that pain does not get the final say. Hope does.
